Now for our Grande Finale: the throwing of the wedding bouquet. It seems that Katariina is going to be the next lucky one.

One final time, thank you for your participation. If you haven't already, come and get your movie reviews from the English teachers' staff room. All the best!

Whoops!

Wow, look at me stammering on. The asterisks (*) mark the spots that are grammatically INCORRECT, that is to say where I'm talking like a complete ass.

"All right. Now eh good, the mingling session is now over, officially. Now, what you need to do... Some of you, I... There were very few boys today, I don't know why, but there were a few boys who didn't have couples*... They have couples* now. Mmmm, if you have a couple*, you need to seat* with her... Okay, guys, him or her*? If not, you can sit anywhere you want, basically. But before you do that, you can go get, go get some refreshments, okay, there's* drinks on the house, and there's also a very nice wedding cake. So go for it, go get... and then take a seat. All right!"

Here's a task for you: Does anybody know what's wrong in the spots that I've marked with an asterisk?

Mingling

Here's some footage from our mingling session. This time I added some effects and transitions, hope you like them. Otherwise the clip would have been terribly long. Again, good luck with your exams!

Ceremony, final part

Okay, here's the final part of the ceremony. I must say, the couple delivered some pretty powerful wedding vows. The groom's especially was absolutely dripping with emotion. Good stuff! And when the priest asked the couple to kneel down, I very nearly fell off my chair.

Ceremony, part 2

Hi

And welcome back from Easter holiday. I hope that your so-called holiday was well spent studying for your upcoming exams and that you feel refreshed and ready to take on the world. I will be posting more clips today, starting with the Ceremony Part 2: The Changing of the Rings. This is of course a superbly symbolic gesture dating back to I don't know what time period (maybe Hongisto knows) that was equally superbly executed by our masters of ceremony, the bride and groom, the priest and of course the best man, who had done an excellent job with the rings. Such originality of design is rarely seen. There were a few minor hitches, namely that the groom had some difficulties choosing the right hand. It is, in fact, the ring finger of your left hand that the ring should go to. Also, the correct way to reply to the priests question is a short "I do". It's not "Yes, I do" or "I will" - just "I do".

Again, great job everybody!

Ceremony, part 1

Here's some more footage for your viewing pleasure. This clip features the wedding march (the so-called Bridal March or Here Comes the Bride written by Richard Wagner) and a killer ceremony by our lovely priest Ilona. I must say she chose a very Christian approach to the whole thing. I especially liked the part where she says that the couple should "forgive one another as God in Christ has forgiven you" and that they should "be imitators of God as his beloved children and live in love as Christ loves us and gave himself up for us". Also, the transitions with "okay" work surprisingly well. Ilona, I think you should really consider the profession seriously.
